School & anxiety

School is tough, especially when you have crippling social anxiety and barely any friends, you know that feeling when you miss a step on the stairs, and your heart feels as if it's in your throat and you can feel it banging in your chest, well, imagine that all the time, I'm crowds, presenting things, or even simply talking to someone new, can be a big deal for someone with anxiety.

Anxiety is so misunderstood as something small, when in reality it is a serious mental disorder, it effects and changes your life completely, and it isn't as uncommon as people think,
One in five people feel anxious all of the time or a lot of the time,  there are people too afraid to give they're opinion for the fear of being laughed upon or hearing laughter near you and instantly think it's about you and when all these small things add up, it becomes a big problem for you and everyone around you.

Ways to cope with anxiety

  • Find time to relax everyday

And no I don't mean watching TV or just on your phone on the sofa, really relax, take a bath do some yoga, something where you're only focus is on you.

  • Talk to someone about things that are bothering you
Even If it's just hanging out or going for a walk, just talking about this, will make you feel a little better about it.

  • Get creative or active

Do something fun, go for a run, paint, draw, swim! Do something to take your mind off of everything and enjoy!

  • Get enough sleep!
Turn that phone off, turn that TV off, and go to bed for a well deserved sleep, you should be getting at least 8 hours! I promise you'll wake up feeling better!

  • Eat well and plenty!
Our diet can effect us in more ways than physical, if you eat healthier you will feel a lot healthier,
it's okay to have a bit of indulgence here and there, don't take it too seriously, just maybe sometimes get water instead of the sugar filled soda, that could heighten your anxiety:)

  • And most importantly, think and act positively!
This may be the hardest thing to do, but maybe try writing a list of five things you are grateful for or what you like about yourself everyday, this could change your whole day, and remember smile, because there is so much to be happy about:)

Music tastes

This is a little off topic, but if someone tells you you're music taste is 'sh*t', don't ever listen to them,
Do not under any circumstances stop listening to what makes YOU happy.

You should be your main priority and should not risk your happiness just to fit in with someone, if they're worth it, they won't mind your music taste.

For example, if you like the so called 'emo' bands, then go ahead and like them! If they make you happy, go for it!

Music tastes are different for everyone, enjoy being different and appreciate other peoples music taste, people should not be judged on what they listen to.

So do whatever makes you happy and keep doing it:)

Have a lovely day😊✌️

Well, um.. Hello!

Teenagers are meant to be the stereotypical teen, with a bunch of friends and good grades and generally happy,

But for some our teen years are not that great, be it struggling through school or boys or maybe friends, even though some may fit the stereotype does not necessarily mean they cannot have numerous struggles that everyone may be oblivious to.

As a teenager myself, I can tell you that it isn't easy, and that you're not alone even though sometimes it can feel like you're the only one feeling the way you are and that no one understands right?
And how things always go so utterly wrong.

I know some may be a bit skeptical on the idea that a teenager at an age so young could ever begin to describe what it's like to have depression, anorexia etc,
but just because I am young does not mean I am oblivious to how it is to have it,

So yeah, If you haven't heard this today, I'm so very proud of you, you look cute today..just like everyday and I hope you have a lovely day😊
